Yesterday Sweden beat Belarus, Finland embarrassed Germany, and the Czechs topped Latvia.

What does this all mean going into what’s been deemed, “Rivalry Weekend?” Four teams have perfect scores (USA, Finland, Sweden, and the Czech Republic). With Sweden playing Finland on Sunday, one of those teams will be forced to loose. USA will play Canada on Sunday and the Czechs play Russia also Sunday.

Olympic Red Wings’ stats from Friday: Johan Franzen scored the game winning goal for Sweden.

New Olympic Record: Teemu Selanne had and assist in Finland’s game, moving him into the all-time lead as the Olympic points scorer with 37 career points.
