Johan Franzen will make his fourth start of the season today in St. Louis. Franzen, who suffered a torn MCL on October 8, has played the St. Louis Blues twice this season already. This will also be Franzen’s second game in North America this season.
As for the rest of the injured Red Wings, Tomas Holmstrom is day-to-day with a bruised knee and it’s not evident if he’ll play tonight in St. Louis. Niklas Kronwall (re-injured left knee) is fine but is waiting for a new knee brace. Kronwall plans to play again Thursday. Drew Miller (bruised ankle) will play today and Patrick Eaves (sprained ankle) will not play. Jimmy Howard, despite admitting to being tired, will start in goal.
