HONORING VETERANS: TRAVELING TRIBUTE WALL COMING TO MIS
Wall on display in Motorsports Fan Plaza from Sept. 10-14; Special ceremony to be held on Sept. 11
BROOKLYN, Mich. (Sept. 9, 2008) — A special American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall will make an appearance at Michigan International Speedway on Sept. 10-14, which will include a special 9-11 tribute ceremony on Thursday, September 11.The display opens at noon Wednesday and is free to the public. The wall is available for viewing each day until Sunday.“We’re excited and proud to have the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall on display here at MIS,” MIS Director of Government and Community Relations Alisha Cottrell said. “This is a wonderful opportunity for people to visit and pay respect to those who served and lost their lives fighting for the United States of America.”
