RED WINGS RECALL CORY EMMERTON

… Center Has Skated in 125 Games with Detroit Since 2010-11 …
DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today recalled center Cory Emmerton from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins.

Originally drafted by Detroit in the second round (41st overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Emmerton has appeared in four games with the Red Wings this season, registering one assist and seven shots on goal. He was assigned to Grand Rapids on Oct. 10 and has recorded 14 points (3-11-14) and 10 penalty minutes in 18 AHL games. A native of St. Thomas, Ontario, Emmerton has appeared in 125 career games with Detroit, notching 20 points (12-8-20) and 20 penalty minutes. In 235 games with the Griffins from 2006-13, the 25-year-old forward has tallied 125 points (37-88-125) and 76 penalty minutes.
