The Chicago Blackhawks capped off a season that saw them set a record for the best ever start to an NHL, by finishing with the best possible end. The Stanley Cup. Finishing the Stanley Cup Finals by beating the Boston Bruins 3-2.
Boston dominated the first period of game six, but Chicago equalized in the second to carry a tie into the third. After a back and forth period, Boston took the lead late, before the Blackhawks finished off the game with two goals within seconds and within the final minute to take the lead and hold on.
Chicago last won the Stanley Cup in 2010, also in game six with an overtime goal by Patrick Kane. Tonight's hero was David Bolland.
