The Detroit Red Wings will look to end the team’s struggles against the New York Islanders today. Possibly no other team in the NHL has dominated the Wings in recent years than the Islanders. The Islanders have shut out the Wings in both of their last meetings.

The Islanders are on a three game win streak, their last effort ending the prolific 25 game scoring streak of Pittsburgh’s Sydney Crosby.
