After three days of free agency in the NHL, the Detroit Red Wings have signed no free agents, including free agent Red Wings. There may be something in that none of Detroit’s free agents, and there are handful of them, have signed with other teams.
Floating down the rumor mill is that Wings GM Ken Holland may be pursuing the services or Mike Modano. Modano, who is a Michigan native and career long Dallas Star, will not be returning to Dallas and does not wish to end his career just yet. Modano has said he wishes to go to a team he is familiar with, like the ones in the same division as Dallas. The question is whether or not he’s ready to return to his home state.
