Red Wings Win, Blackhawks Forced To Wait

The Detroit Red Wings have defeated the Chicago Blackhawks in regulation, leaving Dallas with the ability to spoil Chicago’s chance to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions.

The Blackhawks, but likely not many other people in Chicago, will be sitting on edge until Dallas’ game tonight with the Minnesota Wild is over. Should Dallas win in anything other than a shootout, then Dallas would knock the Blackhawks out of the playoffs.
After the game tonight, the Wings’ Brad Stuart told the media, “In a small way, it feels good to maybe be the team that eliminated Chicago.”
