Detroit, MI… The Detroit Red Wings today announced that three players have been recalled from the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins to serve as ‘Black Aces’ during the team’s impending Stanley Cup Playoff drive. Forward Cory Emmerton has been called up from the Griffins, as have defensemen Doug Janik and Brendan Smith. Bios of all three players can be found in the attached excel file.
