… Nutrilite named Official Vitamin of the 11-time
“We’re elated to have Amway as the first Presenting Sponsor in Red Wings history,” says Olympia Entertainment President Tom Wilson. “The unique similarities between our two companies make this a natural alliance that will enhance all areas of our operations, including player nutrition, fan experience and our dedication to the community.”
This historic agreement between Amway and the Red Wings will include substantial in-arena branding initiatives, as well as an eclectic mix of innovative and interactive components designed to enhance the overall Hockeytown fan experience.
An important feature of the partnership is the inclusion of Amway’s Nutrilite® brand as the Official Vitamin and Nutritional Supplement of the Red Wings. Nutrilite DOUBLE X®, Daily, and Concentrated Fruits & Vegetables supplements all have received certification by the NSF International, the leading product safety testing body for elite athletes. Nutrilite products have been in use by the team’s athletic training staff and the new agreement will allow the team to utilize an on-going nutritional testing program through the Nutrilite Health Institute’s Center for Optimal Health that identifies the vitamins and minerals that may optimize performance of each individual.
"The 50 year history and global success of Amway along with the elite status of the Red Wings organization are a considerable source of pride for Michiganders," says Steve Lieberman, Vice President and Managing Director for Amway North America. "Through our business opportunity, quality health and beauty products, and our Independent Business Owners, Amway inspires individuals to achieve their personal best. Likewise, the Red Wings embody excellence - from winning more Stanley Cup championships than any other US NHL franchise to making the playoffs for the last 20 years. The partnership between our two Michigan powerhouses is a natural fit and a winning match."
Thanks to the Amway presenting sponsorship, the traditional Red & White Game will be reinstated at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids , Michigan in late September. In addition, Amway will present the Detroit Red Wings Facebook Fan of the Day and every live social media event put on by the team’s social media department, like official Tweetups. Citizens of Hockeytown who are awarded Facebook Fan of the Day will receive Amway’s products, including its Nutrilite Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements and Artistry Skincare and Cosmetics, as well as an official Red Wings practice puck.
Amway will also be presenting every upcoming Season Ticket Holder of the Game winner with a gift pack of Nutrilite and Artistry® products and every member of the DRW Kids Club with a Nutrilite children’s vitamin package. Other promotional activity includes Amway distributing bobble-head dolls depicting veteran winger Johan Franzen to the first 7,500 fans in attendance at JLA for Detroit ’s December 8 home game versus Phoenix .
Amway and the Red Wings will also partner in a cross-state initiative benefiting Detroit and Grand Rapids youth who participate in local Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The unique program will provide youth the opportunity to attend Red Wings games and practices.
